Terms and Conditions
Last updated: August 3, 2026
These terms govern website design services provided by Square Wright ("we," "us," "our") to clients ("you," "client"). By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
1. Services
Square Wright provides website design services under one of two plans, selected at the start of the engagement:
- Upfront Plan: Full payment due before work begins, or per the agreed schedule described in Section 2.
- Website Subscription: $500 to start, followed by $225 per month for a fixed 24-month term. Managed hosting, website care, and the included monthly editing allowance are provided during the term.
2. Payment
Upfront Plan: 50% of the total project fee is due upon signing this agreement. The remaining 50% is due before the website goes live or is transferred to the client. Work does not begin until the initial payment is received.
Website Subscription: $500 is due to start, followed by $225 per month for 24 months. The total cost over the full term is $5,900. The client commits to the full 24-month term at signing.
Late payments: Payments have a five-calendar-day grace period. After five days without payment, work pauses until the account is brought current. No late fees apply.
3. Website Subscription Term Commitment
The Website Subscription combines the website project with managed hosting, website care, support, and up to 60 minutes of minor edits each month during the 24-month term.
The client commits to the full 24-month term. If the client stops paying or attempts to cancel before the term ends, the remaining subscription balance becomes due, subject to the signed client agreement.
4. Ownership
- Upfront Plan: The client owns the final website and design once paid in full.
- Website Subscription: Square Wright retains ownership of the design and website throughout the 24-month term. Ownership transfers to the client after completion of the full term and final payment.
Until ownership transfers, the client may use the website for its business but does not hold transferable rights to the underlying design files or code.
5. Refunds
No refunds once work has started, under either plan.
6. Revisions and Scope
The project includes two revision rounds. A revision round means one consolidated list of requested changes submitted at the same time.
For plans that include monthly editing time, minor edits are small content updates within existing pages that do not change the website's overall design, page structure, or functionality. Examples include text updates, replacing existing photos, business hours, contact information, pricing, and service-description updates. New pages, layout changes, new features or integrations, extensive copywriting, SEO campaigns, and other development work are outside the minor-edit allowance.
The following are outside scope and require a written change order and additional payment:
- Additional revision rounds beyond the two included
- New pages not part of the original agreement
- Major design changes
- New functionality
7. Cancellation, Upfront Plan
If the client cancels before work begins, the initial payment is refundable, less any nonrefundable third-party costs already incurred. Once work begins, the initial payment becomes nonrefundable, as described in Section 5.
8. Limitation of Liability
Square Wright is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the website or services. Our total liability under any engagement is limited to the amount paid by the client for that project.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
10. Changes to These Terms
Square Wright may update these terms. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
